For the sterilization of the handles used in microbiology laboratories, the use of the Bacticinerator is ideal. This disinfects handles made of platinum, needles, glass tube/pipette nozzles, and various glass and metal instruments by incinerating at temperatures between 500 °C to 815 °C or more. These processes succeed in eliminating pathogenic and non-pathogenic microbial load from culture instruments. In this sense, the Bacticinerator is applied in food, pharmaceutical and / or cosmetic industries; passing and diluting samples up to 1g, avoiding microbial contamination.

Uses and Applications of the Bacticinerator

The bacteriological handles, must be completely closed, is characterized by a diameter not exceeding 3 mm, and with a stem not greater than 5 cm. The same, should be held in metal handles, and not glass. The amount of inoculum passed is determined by the diameter of the filament’s end ring, which is calibrated, and normally ranges from 0.1 to 0.001 ml. Among them, there are three types:

  • No color, not calibrated and tip is straight.
  • Color Black, calibrated and its measurement is a tip diameter 1/100 5mm
  • Color Red, calibrated, corresponds to tip diameter 1/1000 3 mm
