What is required for the installation and commissioning of a laboratory ultrafreezer?

Factors to consider for the installation of an ultra-freezer

  • The installation and commissioning of a laboratory ultrabezoidal freezer requires caution and appropriate knowledge. It is important to choose quality equipment, with a proven reputation for reliability. In addition, you must take into account the safety requirements of both the room in which you will be placed and the appliance itself.
  • It is necessary to provide a space for the equipment with sufficient separation between obstacles by creating an environment suitable for its installation and use. The area around the unit should be clean, dust-free and clear to allow maximum security and air supply for cooling.
  • Before installation, the contents of the box should be checked. If visible damage is detected, it is appropriate to send the equipment to the vendor for replacement. In addition, for proper operation, it must be installed in a location with a stable temperature above 25 °C.
  • Electrical issues must be resolved before continuing installation. This may include adding an appropriate power supply connector, a grounding pin, a short circuit protection terminal, or copper terminals. The power cord connectors must correspond to the type of equipment.
  • Finding a suitable computer space in the exact location is an important part of the installation. The space should be adjacent to the power outlet and close to the room’s ventilation systems. Provide good air circulation around the unit to remove heat generated.
  • During the electrical connection, the cables should be placed in the same order and direction as the power supply diagram. Fuse overheating should be avoided.
  • After the computer is properly connected, you should check the cabling to make sure it is installed properly. Finally, before the final connection to the power supply, a start-up test must be carried out to confirm that the apparatus is functioning properly.
  • The installation and commissioning of an ultra breeder for laboratory use requires knowledge, electronic safety and caution. Testing is recommended to ensure optimal operation of the equipment. In addition, store the unit in a stable environment of approximately 25 °C and good air circulation to avoid overheating problems.

Installation of a laboratory ultrafreezer

  • Location: Install the unit in a level, vibration-free area with minimal space on the sides and back (indicated in the supplier’s manual). Do not place the equipment in the vicinity of heat sources. The unit should be level from front to back and side to side. Consider the location of the support and installation to be in the centerline of the freezer. Make sure it is installed correctly.
  • Connections: For the safety of people and smooth operation, this unit must be grounded during use. Connect the computer to an appropriate, independent power source. Using the wrong voltage can cause serious damage to the equipment. Do not place the unit in such a way as to prevent access to the disconnecting device.
  • Shelves: all freezers include shelves, drawers fit perfectly between the sliders. Avoid placing or leaving objects that stumble on the sliders so that they do not prevent the door from closing tightly. Make sure the slider is level. If the slider is not seated in a flat orientation, the drawers/baskets will not operate as intended.
  • Door operation: The door of all units is designed to stay open if opened 90 degrees or more.  Never pass through objects through the door lock. For proper operation of the freezer, the integrity of the airtight door lock is essential.
