The function of these electronic devices is to collect, display and store all the vital constants of the pediatric patient. The parameters are displayed separately on the monitor, where both the numerical value of the parameter and its graphical representation are shown. If any of these parameters are lower or higher than normal for the patient, or if other adverse effects occur, an alarm is triggered to alert the physician.
