Operation Lamps
Operating Lights are special lights designed to illuminate the surgical area allowing optimal visualisation of small, low contrast objects at varying depths in incisions and body cavities. Its main purpose is to provide adequate illumination during surgery.
The light of the lamps must be white because in the operating theatre the doctor must be able to observe the colour of any organ or tissue as an indicator of the patient's condition and health. These lamps should also not produce infrared (IR) or ultraviolet (UV) radiation as this can damage or harm exposed body tissue during surgery.
