The laminar air flow process can be described as an airflow where an entire body of air flows at a uniform, even velocity. A laminar flow cabinet is widely used in medical research laboratories, hospitals, manufacturing facilities and other research and production environments. Its objective is to avoid contamination of semiconductor wafers, biological samples or any particulate sensitive material. The air flows through a HEPA filter and blows in a very gentle laminar flow to the user.
The horizontal laminar flow cabinets receive their name due to the direction of the airflow, which comes from above, but which changes direction. Then it is processed through the work in a horizontal direction. The constant flow of filtered air ensures the protection of materials and products.
