Mini Class I Biological Safety Cabinet
A laminar flow cabinet is widely used in medical research laboratories, hospitals, manufacturing facilities and other research and production environments. Its goal is to prevent contamination of semiconductor wafers, biological samples, or any particle sensitive materials. The air flows through a HEPA filter and blows in a very smooth, laminar flow towards the user.
The Class I biological safety cabinet protects both the operator and the environment. Class I provides personnel and environmental protection but there is no product protection. In these type of biosafety cabinets, un-purified room air constantly enters into work area.
These models have at least four advantages. The first is that the air speed is adjustable. Number two, is that is they are tabletop-type, which makes it easy to carry and it and helps saving space in the laboratory. They have a microprocessor control system with a LED display, which facilitates viewing the system’s processes. These models also have a HEPA Filter with an efficiency of 99.999% at 0.3 μm.
The technical parameters are very specific and according to the demands these type of products requires. The measurements for both mini cabinets are 550x460x700mm on the external size and 480x340x370mm on the internal size. The airflow velocity is ≥0.5m/s. They have a cold-rolled steel main body with an anti-bacteria powder coating. Both of these models have 304 stainless steel worktables. They have a washable polyester fiber pre-filter. The front window is controlled by hand and it has a 5mm toughened glass and anti UV. The power consumption of these mini cabinets is 100W. The standard accessories are one piece of LED lamp and two pieces of UV lamp.
